Cha Ching

$1,200.00

This is a blue and white encaustic painting on nine cradled wood panels that are assembled to make a 36” square painting.

The subject is non objective abstraction, with a reference to the human form, although the shape also evokes the dollar sign, which inspired the title.

Encaustic paint is a combination of bees wax, damar resin, and pigment. It is heated and painted hot, and drys and hardens as it cools.

Encaustic paint is extremely durable (paintings have survived from ancient Egypt), but it is susceptible to high temperatures, so avoid placing near excessive heat (a radiator for example).
