This is an irregular shaped nonobjective abstract encaustic painting on wood panels. some of true panels are raised with cut away parts for extra depth and interest.
The paint is thick and highly textured, and the areas without paint are exposed wood.
Encaustic paint is made from a combination of beeswax, pigment, and damar, and is worked by heating and melting the materials. Encaustic paintings are very durable (examples remain from ancient Egypt) but they are susceptible to high temperatures, so they should not be hung in a place which may get excessively hot, such as near a radiator or in direct sunlight.
Please note that some international customers may have additional import duties to pay the postal service. Please check with your local post to determine what those fees may be.
